The town of Kilgarvan is located near Kenmare and Killarney, a farming community in the County of Kerry, Ireland. Situated south of Killarney National Park and to the North of Gougane Barra Forest Park.
Beara Kilgarvan Cycling Route
The Beara Kilgarvan Cycling Route starts in Killarney at the train station. It then travels on back roads passing Lough Guitane Lake. It continues on the Main Killarney - Macroom road for about 2 miles, turning off at Garries Bridge. It arrives at Morley's Bridge and travels on back roads to Kilgarvan village along the Banks of Roughty River. It then continues along quiet country roads passing the Sheen Falls Hotel until it meets the Beara Way Cycling Route just outside Kenmare.
Salmon and Brown Trout Fishing on the Roughty River The Roughty is flowing west through the village of Kilgarvan into the top of Kenmare Bay.
